What do Jon Stewart and Emily Dickinson have in common? Well, they are the two topics for this episode of The Weekly Marginalian! I recently listened to Stewart's interview with NPR Fresh Air host Terry Gross and it was stunning. The interview. He's so articulate and so smart-seeming. And he gets it right each time. But he doesn't want all the responsibility that comes with getting it right. And I get that. But he's in a great position to shed some light on the terrible journalism that is happening right now. And that's good enough for me. And then, we have a lovely little poem by my namesake, Ms. Emily D. Have a splendid day!

I've got to completely agree with you about J.Stewart. I love him, very much.
ReplyDeleteI have to say this is my favorite episode yet; I love it! I'm in complete agreement about journalism today, and I love Jon Stewart's point of view. Also, lovely selection from Emily Dickinson! You're right - she does kind of fit with autumn. Can't wait for the next episode! xoxo
