Judy's Moxie

I watched In The Good Old Summertime this evening. A classic Judy Garland film, if you haven't seen it. If you like Meet Me In St. Louis, you will adore this film. It was the perfect and cozy choice for a blustery fall evening.

I love Judy's performance of "I Don't Care" in the film (video above). I am adding this to my Girl Power Mix, which includes "I Have Confidence" from The Sound of Music and "Don't Rain on My Parade" from Funny Girl (the Barbra version only).

I need some moxie this week and am taking my inspiration from only the best and the brightest!

  1. You turned me on to "Meet Me in St. Louis" (I absolutely adore it) last year, so now I know I have to see this!
And how funny you said "Don't Rain on My Parade" - we just picked up the "Funny Girl" album last weekend at a vintage record store up the street! We have a thing for musicals in this household!
Happy Halloween, my dear friend! XOXO

  2. Thanks so much for the suggestion! I LOVE Meet Me in St. Louis. My husband and I actually quote the accusatory "I love you" that Rose's fiance says to her towards the end of the movie from time to time;)

I'm bummed though because my local library doesn't have In the Good Old Summertime:( I'll have to find it somewhere else.
