On our third day in France, we drove up to Giverny, the little town where Claude Monet lived and painted his most famous works - The Water Lilies and Le Pont Japonaise. He lived in the country to avoid the expensive, crowded halls of Paris. In exchange, he inhabited an incredibly serene world full of some of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen.
